Pink Month

My pink things :)

I think it is just fabulous that breast cancer awareness month has the visibility and support it does from many notable organizations, the NFL, ZTA, shops, schools and basically everyone is working together to rid the world of this devastating disease. But how about all the other cancers?! Every fight is equally as tough and yet I don't recall hearing about prostate cancer month in September. And how about leukemia, kidney, lung, pancreatic, thyroid, colon cancers, melanoma and neuroblastomas? What if October was used to bring awareness to all cancers? Here are some cancer facts.

And the number one killer of women in the United States is actually heart disease, which gets substantially less recognition. Anyway I just think that everyone's fight deserves to be recognized. We are all ultimately in the same fight anyway- the fight against cancer. Really not trying to take anything away from all the wonderful breast cancer awareness this month, but just some food for thought :)
